Other Notes: Chenzira’s Ally is Ghost, a Dragon-Blooded assassin whom she and her circle rescued from a death sentence. Her Artifacts are Eater of Chaos, an orichalcum grand daiklave, and her suit of orichalcum reinforced breastplate armor. Chenzira’s Cult is made up of her adoring fans, who worship her throughout the South as something akin to a god of gladiatorial battles. Her Followers are five loyal servants who came with her from her time in House Circla. Her Chiaroscuran Influence derives from her position as one of the agents of the Tri-Khan, while her Familiars are Ruin and Chigaru, a massive fiery horse and an eight-tailed mole hound respectively. Her moderate Resources represent the remainder of her gladiatorial winnings.


The life of a slave is seldom easy but an easy life seldom draws the attention of a Solar Exaltation.
Being born to a slave on the way to market is not an auspicious beginning.
Her name means ‘born on a journey’ but she was separated from her mother young enough not to know that, her mother, or anything else about her origins.
A childhood marked by a short temper and tendency toward violence generally does not improve one’s lot, but in the slave pens of Gem it can be seen as potential.
Chenzira never had the temperament for a house slave. Politeness, punctuality, obedience, and general subservience never came easily to her. She was put in the mines instead, carrying buckets back and forth. Her time in the mines ended when she severely wounded another miner. The overseers didn’t see exactly what happened, but a young girl with a bucket full of rocks being spoken to by a big burly miner ended with him on the ground bleeding from the head. It was presumed to be his fault, after all, who picks a fight with a man with a pick axe?
House Circla’s slave masters recognized that aggression can be turned toward profit and Chenzira was ‘fortunate’ enough to be moved from manual labor into fighting rings.
In the rings, life was simpler. Fight, learn, grow stronger, and survive. She turned out to be very good at fighting and moved up through the ranks quickly.

Some might look back at the struggles she grew up with as a blessing in disguise, but Chenzira has never been the type to philosophize.
